Brinton has loved watching shows (movies) for quite a while now and he likes them too much. Does anyone else have kids that just seem to need the TV on in the background? He wants to watch a show for a few minutes and then leaves to go play, so I turn off the TV. He then notices within a minute and is begging for me to put something else on. It's so bad that he knows the songs that play during the credits of his favorite shows so if he hears those songs from the other room, he is asking for a new show!!! I have been trying to have him be occupied with other things, and it is getting better. Hopefully someday, he might go a full day without asking to watch a movie. If only I had a back yard :)

My suggestion is to keep doing what you are doing. Easy huh!
I was so waiting for a post from you on Jamies Family post about the favorite aunt. I am so surprised you didn't deliver.
Do you remember how you used to play "blues clues" with Carly. You were the best babysitter we ever had so I'm sure you're doing just fine as a real mommy!
but you're right... a yard is great. what a blessing it was to have your families fantastic yard when Carly and Rachel were small. When we lived there I would tell Mark "let's go to the park with the girls" and he would say "Why!?" and point to all the things in the yard and say "we've got a park right here!"
p.s. I love that Rob Thomas song!
I thinks its an age thing, Brayden did the same thing. Kate however, I would love for her to watch a movie. Her problem is to many books!! She will read books for hours, which is nice. But I have like 200 books scattered throughout my house and I can't stand it. If you ever need him entertained, you could try having play with Kate. We would be glad to have him over.
Yes, the TV used to be on all day at my house in the background. And just like at your house, when I would turn it off someone would protest. I just stopped turning it on. I let them watch one show a day usually and sometimes they never even ask to watch anything anymore. It has been great! It can be a hard habit to break though. Good luck!
