On Monday of this week, we were lucky enough to carve pumpkins with most of the Bishop cousins. My dad grows enough pumpkins for all of us, which is so fun. He harvested them a few weeks ago and they have been sitting in the garage. Brinton picked his pumpkin out about two weeks ago and tried several times to take it home early. We told him we had to wait so we could carve a face in it. After quite the wait because we started telling him about it a little too soon, the pumpkin carving was a big hit.
Brinton got to choose what his face would look like. He helped a little, but then ended up playing while I finished carving it. Steve usually guts all of our pumpkins and I usually carve them. It works out pretty good that way, but he did have to help a little with the carving. My dad always grows some giant pumpkins and I always take one to carve. It is so fun to have an enormous pumpkin on my porch, even if it takes a while to carve and more than one person to carry. If only Brinton didn't poop his pants, the night would have been a complete joy :)
Here's our little family of pumpkins. It sure takes all evening to carve so many and next year, there will be one more . . . we'll see how that goes.

I ended up borrowing costumes from a friend because I am just not on top of it on my own this year. (Thanks, Em.) Anyway, Brinton loves pirates so it is great. He makes a little hook with his pointer finger and says, "Aarrggg!" We decorated our house a little bit last week and both boys have loved looking at the decorations. I suppose with less than a week to go, we are ready for Halloween!

Well, Steph, here is a picture of our whole family on one four wheeler.
It really wasn't so bad because they were pretty roomy and we had a little container on the back that was helpful. I started holding Zander, but it was difficult because he would squish my stomach. Once Steve sat in the back, it was a lot better.
