My brother, Nate, was commenting on all of our family's blogs and how the moms only post the good stuff they do so they look like "super moms." He requested that we start posting about letting our children play in the road and other things. Well, I don't let my kids play in the road, but I am not a "super mom."
First of all, I am a "super klutz," and ripped my fingernail half way off. Somehow, I hit my nail while getting into the car and it lifted half way off from one side to the middle. The side that it lifted on came up so much that the root of my nail (that is under your skin) came on top of my cuticle and the skin below it. You might be able to tell from the picture if you click on it. This just happened on Saturday evening, so I am typing very slow and doing things one-handed.
Tonight, Brinton cut his nose somehow. I was in the other room and he started to cry. My guess is that he threw up a toy train and it landed right on his face. That really is something he would do. He is too little to communicate with me what really happened, so I had to make my best guess. I'm not sure if you can tell, but it is pretty deep for a little cut. Brinton was so good and happy after we calmed him down. I don't know any other two year old that will let you stick a band aid on their nose and leave it there. He is such a good-natured kid, and that has nothing to do with his "super mom."

Don't listen to Nate! We ARE "super moms". Let's watch him try it for a week!!! (I really don't think I am, for the record). Brint looks so cute with that band aid. He IS a good kid!
Double ow!!!! Remember my finger accident in your basement? my pinky is still lopsided. That was gross. Have you ever looked at cucumber salad the same way again? are you always looking for fingertip parts? yuck! Did you know when your mom took me to the doctor she took me for a smoothie afterwards "because I was good". I love your mom. She was such a blessing to me when we moved to Utah and found ourselves so far from family. You all took such good care of us!
I have to admit, I have a queasy feeling in my stomach after seeing that picture of your finger. If Brandon ever accidentally sees it, he is going to die!!!
What, you aren't "Super Mom?" Just kidding, but I do think you are such a great mom and one I really look up to.
OUCH!!!! - and that is about all I can say about the nail.
Brinton is so awesome!!! What a trooper to handle that so well. He is so happy and sweet!!!
Yeah, you are a terrific mom (I think you EVERYTHING to do with Brinton being so amazing - well, you and Steve..)!!!
Hey there! I love the nails (well not the bloody part).
Yeah next time I'm in town we'll have to do lunch for sure. We'll be there for Christmas so I'll drop you a line when it gets closer.
....and I'm sure you are a "super mom"!!!! Your chillins are adorbale!
I can't believe you took a picture of it! Was that before or after you went to Stake Conference?
Ha ha. I did that before of course. It was very important to get a picture of it before I got it all cleaned up so I could gross out everyone.
I'm glad you left me a comment so I could see your blog...it's really cute and your boys are adorable!
