Brinton has enjoyed trying to find treats throughout the day. He knows how to move chairs to get to the cupboard where we keep the candy, he will open the pantry and search high and low for the flavored marshmallows, etc. Once he finds what he wants, he always asks if he can have it (probably only because he can't open the things on his own). Much to his dismay, the answer is no more often than yes. Anyway, he looks in the fridge and pantry like a teenage boy. They are of course full and yet oftentimes, there is nothing in there for him to eat. The problem with all of this is that he isn't good about closing the door to the pantry or fridge. Zander finds this opportunity as a very fortunate one. He has no trouble wanting to play with and suck on EVERYTHING that he can reach. This little climber can not only climb into the fridge for better reach, he can pull himself into the tub, the dryer, and many more places that don't seem logically possible. It's crazy, but cute. I love his sense of adventure. I just wish it didn't nearly give me a heart attack half the time.

During Steve's spring break we spent pretty much the whole week working on a bunk bed that we designed. They were finished and moved into our house during the normal spring break (the U had one a couple weeks before the other schools around here). We always planned on the boys sharing a room and in our house, this seems like the best way to do that. Zander won't move in for quite some time, but we were so excited about the designs that we had to start right away. We still don't have a mattress on the top bunk, but Brinton loves to just play up there anyway. It is the coolest bunk bed in the world . . . in case you were wondering. If you live close, you should come see it in person because I don't think this picture really does it justice.

Today was Steve's 27th birthday. It was a pretty pathetic birthday, no thanks to me. Oh, and no thanks to the last final that he is studying for. His last test for this semester will be tomorrow morning, yahoo! I think we are all ready for a break from the schooling for a couple months. We did have a cheesecake this evening which was fun. After we put in all the candles and Brinton helped Steve blow them out (it took at least five tries to get them all), we were tasting the deliciousness that Costco can produce. Brinton couldn't keep his little mitts off the cake and kept poking his fingers into it and tasting it over and over again . . . until we got him his own piece. Then, he thought it would just be fun to put the candles back in the cake. Some right-side-up, some up-side-down and some laying on their side. Then, he was trying to get us to light them again. Silly boy. It's a good thing he's so cute because today was one of those days with him. Anyway, Steve is so wonderful and I am sure you all know that. If you know him, you know he's awesome. There are too many things for me to share that I love about him, and I don't really want to make you all feel bad about your husbands :) Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVE! I love you.
