A couple of weeks ago, we spent about a day and a half with some of Steve's side of the family. That ended up being one brother and his family, us, and Steve's dad. Steve's dad has a fishing boat that is strong enough to pull a tube behind, so we went to the beach part of Utah Lake for a little sandy playing and some tubing. Brinton had fun playing at the shore and Zander learned (once again) that dirt doesn't taste that good. Brinton got stuck in the mud as he waded into the water about four feet. His flip flops will be forever lost somewhere in the lake. We were pretty disappointed with the beach so I guess we need to get to California or something. I remember going there a lot when I was growing up and have so many fond memories . . . maybe next year.Anyway, we took turns going out on the boat and we all had a ride on the tube. Zander even went for a little bit. Zander hated having a life jacket on and laid on the boat floor for a while to try to take a nap. Brinton liked being able to choose if we go faster or slower and had a great time. By the time we left to head home, both Brinton and Zander fell asleep sitting up in the boat before we could get to the dock. I think we tuckered them out good enough. Thanks to Grandpa Bodell for the fun!

Looks like lots of fun! And yes you have to take the kids to a california beach, much more enjoyable! :)
