I know this is ridiculously late, but better late than never. We have been so busy lately that my blog has been quite on the back-burner.
For the 4th of July, we did the annual camp out in my parent's back yard. We had a barbecue on the 3rd to start it off and let the kids play in the yard.
Once it gets dark, we do some fireworks and then watch a movie outside using a projector. The next day, there is a lot of swimming and more playing. It is so fun to get together with all the kids so often and we had a blast.
Then, that evening, we had another barbecue with Steve's side of the family and then we went to the Western Stampede rodeo. It is a professional rodeo in West Jordan, but I was left a little unsatisfied with the contestants that night. No worries, though, it was still fun. Brinton loved watching the mutton busting because he likes the sheep. We brought Zander's car seat and left him buckled pretty much the whole night. It worked wonders, I tell you. I don't know if we would have survived if he was trying to climb all over everyone. It was a busy couple of days, but we really loved it all. By the way, there's no use in going to a rodeo unless you are going to try to look at least a little like a cowboy.
I couldn't resist putting this picture of Steve in here because with his skinny-tallness, he looks pretty good. Thanks, Jake, for letting him borrow your awesome belt buckle. Rest assured, we have already agreed that he can get his own huge belt buckle before next year.

That is SOME belt buckle. I'm impressed he can stand up straight with that thing on.
Kidding aside, he does look good, very rodeoish. I haven't been to a rodeo in years. We used to go with Mark's boss when he had one. It was fun. I think it was the one in Lehi.
Glad you're having a good summer. The boys are cute as ever!
Awesome belt buckle! you guys look cute in your rodeo gear! looks like a fun 4th!
You guys make good hicks!!! Your boys have grown up SO much since the last pictures I saw of them. Ha ha ha, we are pathetic that we never see each other. But that is all going to change in 2 days! Woo hoo! So another boy, looks like you are following in Todd and Bry's footsteps. :) Congrats!
Do you own a ranch?? or even a horse?? Looks like Steve should be taking care of something on the farm or in the country - or maybe riding a bull himself??? Yeah, that outfit is a perfect match for him!
I love the family picture - esp. with Zander in his car seat! :) What a fun 4th!!!
