A couple of weeks ago, my parents had us over for Family Home Evening. They teach the lesson and everything! It's great. Anyway, they were talking to Brinton about being happy and sad. The lesson was supposed to be about consequences, but that's a little over his head, so it ended up mostly having him point to the pictures of peoples' faces and saying if they were happy or sad. After a little practice, he figured it out.
Yes, chicken. Apparently, that's what chicken meant to him that night. He didn't really want to eat his dinner and was upset with my threats of sending him to bed if he didn't eat his chicken. I'm really nice, obviously. He actually was crying a little bit about it at the table, so I guess the picture really did fit. Later, as we were having some dessert, we were all making happy and sad faces. Brinton loved it. I'm pretty sure he's confused though. His face was quite happy the whole time. Only, when it was a sad face, he closed his eyes . . . with a huge smile. Perhaps we'll have to work on that some more.

I love that he thinks that one is chicken, that cracks me up! I love doing FHE with other people, so fun!
1. I'm so sorry about your ring! Guess it's not the end of the world, but it really sucks (I usually never say that word). :(
2. Brinton is such a big boy to share his toys - even if it took a little time and coaxing! I think it's hilarious he would hide his toys! :)
Zander looks so cute in those pictures!
3. What a cute FHE. Brinton is seriously too funny and cute!
