Brinton's preschool didn't start until September was almost over, so this isn't that late. Right? Anyway, on the first day, they wanted the moms to come with the kids so they would better adjust to the idea of school. I rode the bus with him (yes, he rides a bus every day).
Brinton loves the bus and I love not packing up the other kids to take and pick him up four days a week. I think buses are cool until you get to junior high and then they suck. So, for now . . . it's great. They got a brand new school building this year, so everything is nice and fresh. They have a great classroom and a really nice playground outside. He has wonderful teachers and the program is exactly what I want. They even do developmental testing and hold parent-teacher conferences so I know where he's at. They have lunch and the kids dish up their own food and clean their plates after. Oh, and my favorite is the tiny bathroom stalls with little toilets. It is adorable. Anyway, Brinton has a lot of fun and he loves to make new friends. In fact, on the first day, he spent a lot of time with a girl, McKenna, throughout the day. On the way home, he told me he wanted to sit next to her rather than me. It was cute, though maybe I'll have to watch him with the ladies sooner than I thought (just kidding). It's weird that he is so big to be sending him away for school, but he is ready and he loves it.
